If you want a simple safe to use solution to transport your bike you really need to consider the Ultimate MX Hauler. You will have no issues loading and unloading with no need to have a buddy assist you. It is strong and steady and provides you a piece if mind as you travel down the road.

I bought this carrier for the back of my RV to carry a KTM 530 that weighs around 250lbs. I had some difficulty mounting it and had to raise the height of the spare wheel to clear the carrier. This is not a fault of the carrier just something to be aware of. I also bought the gas can attachment but found the spare prevented me placing the gas can in the rack. I think a smaller can might fit but haven't tried yet. It is very easy to load/unload the bike on my own, the platform being at the perfect height at it's lowest point. This would be a problem if your hitch receiver is particularly high. The bike was stable once secured from the handle bars with a cam strap.

So far, I'm very pleased with this product. It took about a week to get delivered and about an hour for assembly. I'm using it on a Tacoma pickup and my bike weighs 230 lbs. Very heavy-duty construction. The bike bolts securely to the platform and when it's jacked up, it sits up plenty high enough to not worry about it scraping. There's a lot of pressure on my hitch, but I haven't had any problems. I've had to brake quickly, swerve to avoid a deer, and driven with it loaded-up through a rough field and everything is kept tightly in place. It obscures my license plate, but I've passed several cops and haven't been pulled over. It's a bit pricey, but I prefer this to the ramp-type haulers that require tie-straps.
