The hitch went on without any issues. Fit perfectly and the wire guides for the bolts made the whole installation flawless. I had to shave off a portion of the heat shield with some snips.

HitchSource was great to deal with. Order shipped as they said, FAST, and it arrived at no shipping cost. Install went very well. Approx. 35 mins total with the right tools. Only thing to add is that the directions said to totally REMOVE the heat shield that sits above the muffler and protects the floor pan. You do have to remove it to install the hitch but with tin snips you can easily cut away a small area that is triangle shaped so you can then reinstall the heat shield. Subaru put it there for a reason and IMO it should be put back. Removing the muffler made the install go easier too. The hitch looks super on the Forester and it is very solid. We are using it for bike racks and maybe some day will get a small trailer to haul our HD's on them. This was a great purchase and a terrific price.

Price was great, and The Curt hitch fits perfectly. I had a local truck specialty place install, and they said it worked perfectly. Hitch looks good, very unobtrusive. I may have overdone it using a Class II hitch on a vehicle that is rated for 1500# towing capacity. Delivery was prompt. Excellent service from Hitch Source.com

What a pleasure to install this hitch without any problems. Definitely a DIY job. Everything is included in the kit for a simple installation, even the wires to feed the bolts through the frame. It took me 1 hour by myself and I took a short sandwich break. This is the second CURT hitch I have install in the last month. Both were simple, easy, quick installs and nicely built hitches.
