This is an excellent product. It installed in about 30 minutes. Everything matched up as it should. I drilled 2 small holes in the bottom to mount the electric connection. This probably voided the warranty but what can go wrong with a piece of steel.

Fast Delivery. Very easy to install. Took less than 30 minutes to remove from box and bolt onto truck. Followed the advise from the other raters to clean and lubricate the pre drilled holes on the truck prior to installation.

I am very happy with my purchase, the quality and fit was top notch and installation was incredibly easy. I love how everything but the actual hitch part is hidden and it looks just like OEM. Was delivered super fast. I believe 2 days from order to arrival. I was very surprised. Very happy with HitchSource.com

Very well built product and extremely sturdy. Probably better than the factory hitch and the installation was a breeze. I would definately recommend this product to other Ridgeline owners.

The hitch fits the Ridgeline pretty well with only the receiver showing. I have two issues, one with design and the other with instructions. After struggling on my back trying to bolt the hitch to my 2006 Ridgeline with no success, I called customer service to see if there was a possibility that I had been sent the wrong bolts. I was told that the problem was most likely corrosion in the bolt holes and was instructed to use a penetrating spray and small wire brush to clean the threads. I was told that they get 5 or 6 calls a day with this exact problem and that will do the trick. It did, but if it's such a common problem I would have appreciated knowing that before struggling in vain. My second issue is that there is no place to mount the wiring harness without drilling in to the hitch (ruining the powder coat) or figure out a way to clamp it on. I made do with a piece of aluminum angle (drilled holes to fit bolt pattern on harness) and some stainless pipe clamps. I'm not happy with the jerry-rigged look bot it's better than rusting out the hitch.

We could not have had a better experience with HitchSource. We spoke with Daryl and he was awesome! We needed this hitch along with the ball and wiring harness overnight. Not only did we get them as promised but the installation was a piece of cake. Took 20 minutes and the only reason it took two of us was for one to hold it in place while tightening down the bolts etc. And we've never installed anything that lined up 100% correct as this did. In addition, the pricing was great! And with free shipping for overnight?? You cannot beat it. It was a pleasure working with this company. We've already touted this site to others and will continue to do so.

To echo other comments, speedy delivery, was literally here the day after I placed the order. Box was broken but hitch was fine. One recommendation- test fit the bolts in the weldnuts before you lift the hitch into place. My weldnut holes needed to be cleaned out with a 12x1.25mm rethread tool prior to bolts fitting properly. Once threads were clean I was back in business. Local Dealer quoted me $675.00. All in with the re-thread tool kit I had to purchase, I came in less than $250. Side note- Not a big fan of the muffler hanger install piece, but all in all seems fine. Quality product.

Fit like a charm and even managed to get it in by myself, with the help from a little stabilizing floor jack. Looks great. Half hour estimate was, for me, a little optimistic, but nevertheless, it was not difficult.

I chose this hitch over the Hidden Hitch because it wasn't, and passed on the Draw Tite because far too much of it was visible as well. The hitch arrived in only two days! IMO the Curt hitch is better than the OEM hitch Honda offers as only the Curt's receiver box is visible, and the weld quality is better. The Curt hitch fit beautifully and took only 45 minutes to install, including stops for "liquid refreshment" along the way. My only suggestions to Curt would be to add a small plate that could be bolted to the hitch using flange nuts so as to provide a mounting point for a wiring harness. In lieu of this, all I did was drill two 3/8" holes into the bottom of the bumper near the weld seam about 5" to the driver's side of the receiver box, and used two 0.75" standoffs & sheet metal screws to mount the OEM Honda wiring harness I had.

There is no doubt, this hitch is made specifically for the Ridgeline. After cleaning up the existing threaded holes in our truck, installation was simple. The best part is that it is a solid hitch, made for the Ridgeline, that does not stick out like an eyesore. If I had a choice I would buy it again and I would buy it from HitchSource.

Class III hitch was a great buy. I had a quote to install a similar capacity hitch for approx $850 from dealer. I found Hitchsource and was able to easily identify both the correct hitch and wiring harness for my application. Shipment arrived on time as communicated with all necessary parts included. Total install time was just over 30 minutes with a one man operation (myself). All bolt holes lined up correctly and instructions were clear and simple. I used only a floor jack, 1 box wrench a pneumatic impact wrench and a phillips screwdriver. Though it would be possible to use a 1/2" ratchet drive, the impact wrench sped up the process and saved significant labor as there had been some corrosion within threaded bolt holes inside the truck frame that provided considerable resistance to full thread-thru and torquing. Next time I'll likely lubricate the bolts prior to installation to improve initial install effort. Overall, the quality of the hitch is excellent (fabrication, paint, design) and very hassle free process. If I were to make an improvement, I would make the safety chain attachment loops just a bit longer to improve clearance when utilizing a combination of thick safety chains and a locking hitch pin as the lock mechanism reduces ease of access to thread the safety chain through the loop.

Excellent product. Easy to install - solid custom fit requiring no drilling or modifications to the Ridgeline. Customer service when ordering was the best - particularly for someone who knew nothing about trailer hitches. Advice was on target and made the purchase and installation to be carried out with confidence. Shipment was well packaged and on time.

Perfect Hitch for the Honda Ridgeline, you only see the receiver. Quality construction (sealed tube), uses all 6 bolts to bottom of the frame (some don't and cost more) and less than half the price of the Honda Hitch.

I shopped around HitchSource has the best price, shipped in a box (i.e. not bent and scratched up), less than 30 minutes later hitch on Honda.

Everyone at the ROC (RidgelineOwnersClub) should shop HERE!

This was an excellent hitch and was a one person installation that had only to be spread apart some which was accomplished with a large screwdriver.
Wish they had a metal plate to screw on it to hold the lighting harness ends. Great product and looks good!

Purchased the Curt hitch for my Ridgeline after doing some on-line shopping. Price was good and delivery was quick. I had read several reviews in which people indicated that they needed a prybar to fit the hitch into place so I was watching for any installation problem.

Rolled the truck up on ramps and lowered the exhaust as described. The hitch fit fine with just using a screw driver to line up one of the last two bolts. Tightened all the bolts and we were good to go.

You will not need metric sockets if you do not have them. The installation took about 30 minutes. It was as easy as described. The tubes are sealed so dirt and rust should not be a problem going forward.

The hitch is well hidden behind the rear bumper with only the receiver showing. You can spend more, but what is the point?

Nice product relatively easy to install except for having to manipulate it to fit, as other people stated. Other than that a very easy install and it looks good too. Harness very easy to install no problems

This hitch is nicely built and fairly easy to install. It did require bending the flanges outward slightly to get the holes to align with those in the truck frame. I accomplished this by clamping a section of 2x4 to one of the flanges and applying pressure while standing on the hitch (thanks to several posters on the Ridgeline Owners Club site for that tip).

The one thing I was not thrilled about was the relocation of the muffler hanger from the body to the hitch. It is necessary to lower the muffler slightly so the tail pipe does not knock against the underside of the hitch while driving, but doing it the way Curt recommends seems to put an awful lot of downward force on the exhaust system (so much so that I had a difficult time getting it into position to attach the hangers). I again followed the advice of others and bent the muffler hanger rod attached to the underbody downward slightly to get the required clearance. If you do this, make sure to apply a bit of paint around the base of the rod where you bend it to prevent rust, as the factory paint will chip slightly. I gave it a couple of coats of clear lacquer.

Once installed, the hitch hides nicely behind the bumper with only the receiver showing, making for a very clean appearance. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product, but I did knock off a point for the muffler mounting system that needs improvement. Also, better packaging could eliminate the inward bending of the flanges so the the hitch could be installed right out of the box without any "massaging".

I ordered a Curt class III trailer hitch for my 2008 Honda Ridgeline. Installation was very easy and the product seems to be of top quality. The hidden hitch and thick coating on the product are both wonderful features. You cant be the quality and value for the price of the hitch. The dealership wanted over $300.00 for a similar product. The shipping time was really, really fast! I received the item the next day! I would highly recommend this Curt class III hitch for anyone who want a top-quality hitch. This hitch deserves a 5 star rating!

Delivery time was amazing. The Ridgeline hitch arrived the next day! Installation went pretty smoothly. The holes on one side didn't want to line up so I used slight pressure with a pry-bar to line them up and hand tighten the bolts. The trailer hitch looks fantastic, all you can see is the receiver.

The delivery time was unbelievable. I ordered on Wednesday and on the next day Thursday the trailer hitch was at my door without paying for any special shipping. For an item (hitch for an 08 Toyota Sienna) of this size and weight thier shipping cost was extremly reasonable.
The installation was simple, pry two exhaust rubber donuts to lower the exhaust, got 1 bolt started and then put the other 5 in. All holes matched perfectly. The Sienna hitch fit as though it was designed and installed at the factory, couldn't want or expect a better product. I did have a few questions for the ball mount to go along with the hitch which they gladly took thier time to make sure i got the right fitment. Great product, service and communication. What a pleasure it is to do business with such a respectable company, Thank you.

I was very pleased with the fast shipment/delivery of the trailer hitch for my 08' Honda Ridgeline. The hitch mounted looks great with only the receiver showing below the bumper. Quality appears top notch. The only issues I had were:
1. like some others who purchased this hitch, I found the mounting hole separation was a little off - I had to jam a 1x4 board in between the hitch and frame in order to get the holes lined up enough to thread the mounting bolts.
2. the muffler is so close to the hitch tube that it rattles against it at times - this could be corrected by either:
- including a rubber/poly muffler hanger replacement to give an extra 1/2"-3/4" separation
- have the design (specific to the vehicle) modified to give the muffler greater clearance while keeping the strength rating

I am very happy w/the price/looks of the hitch but right now, as I haven't found a modified exhaust hanger yet, I've had to put some heat resistant padding between the hitch frame and the exhaust tip of the muffler which has eliminated the occasional rattling sound.

I selected the Curt hitch because I like the idea of closed ends on the drawbar and the powder coated finish. The hitch installation is very straight forward except for a small glitch- the mounting holes were not in perfect alignment with the frame mounting points on the Ridgeline. If you install the bumper mounting first, then the passenger's side of the mounting plate and keep the bolts loose, you can take a tapered drift punch and pull the driver's side into position. The bolts will then go in easily without any other persuasion. Then tighten and torquee everything. The only other negative I found was weld "berries" (spatter) around the receiver opening and end plates. If they were ground smooth prior to powder coating, it would be an excellent hitch instead of a very good one. Still, priced right and highly recommend.ed

As the two previous reviewers, I found that the chassis mounting brackets did not align perfectly with the mounting hole spacing on the Ridgeline. But it was no big deal. Attach the hitch at the rear bumper bracket loosely, then do the same on the muffler side of the Ridgeline. Insert a tapered punch (preferably brass or aluminum to prevent damage to the threaded inserts in the frame rails) and pull the driver's side bracket into alignment. No problems, the screws will go in easily. My only confusion is - why include an exhaust hanger mount on the bottom edge of the drawbar tube? The original factory mount still works fine- although the tailpipe on the muffler is only 3/8" away from the drawbar tube. Still, no rubbing or vibration. I guess vehicle and hitch tolerances could add up to create a problem if no alternate mount is provided. I was less satisfied with the weld spatter around the receiver box opening, but you can't beat the price, construction (no open ends on the drawbar tube) and great powder coated finish. All in all- not perfect, but very, very good.

Nice looking Hitch! Great design hides the entire hitch behind the bumper only the receiver shows. The powdercoat finish is very shiny and seems to be quite thick. The Receiver opening itself seems like a great design too- it has what seems to be a cast or forged opening- one piece, instead of the wrapped and welded type that other manufacturers have - those seem to be rust magnets!
Installation tips - like any other 50 pund piece of steel, it's a little awkward to handle while laying on your back. Call a friend.
1. Install the bumper bolts first- the hitch will hang up there unsupported, making it easier to get the rest of the bolts in.
2. Use a long handled screwdriver to assist in aligning the holes with the weldnuts in the frame. Insert the screwdriver through the hole in the hitch bracket, into the threaded hole, pry until you can get one bolt in.
3. Bend the exhaust hanger on the truck down about a 1/4" and you'll be able to use it to hold the muffler up.

Oh- and hitchsource/UPS delivered in less than 24 hours with standard ground shipping!

Thanks, Hitchsource.com!

All in all very good quality and very fast shipment. The only downside and I'm not sure it is Hitch Sources fault was the hitch was slightly bent on delivery. My advice or suggestion is for future shipments to wedge the flanges or ends with a piece of wood as to not allow the hitch to be bent when stood on end. I am referring to the flanges on the end where the three holes are as being bent.
Upon my inspection of this and correcting the problem the hitch installed in no time flat, very easy to install.

Seems like a high quality item. I had some minor problems aligning the holes though. Also the passenger side bracket has the bend very close to the holes which makes it difficult to seat the bolts & washers flat. The movement of the muffler support seems to put a little pressure on the exhaust.
Overall I would recommend it.
