This kit designed for Nissan and clips on to the tail light fittings. It's possible to run the wire to the hitch from the driver's side rear interior, through a rubber bush (it won't quite re-seat properly afterward, but that should be ok) that you can't visibly see, but can feel. Locate the bush visually from underneath the car (next to the plastic box on the rear drivers side that's also next to where the hitch attaches to the frame) and thread the wire from the driver's side rear tail light over to where all the wiring is for the rear wiper etc and then drop the wire down to the bush.

The wiring harness works as advertised and was shipped promptly. It might be a good idea to make the wires that go to the passenger side a little longer. I had to tuck the converter box inside of the firewall, where if it was a little longer it could have been placed under the floorboard. Also had to remove the tail lights and pull the wire through to get to the plugs for the lights because the square access hole was really too small for my hands to fit through. That is a Nissan problem, but might want to reflect this as an option on the installation instructions. Don't get me wrong, it sure beats splicing/soldering wires!!! Great product and would buy it again in a hearbeat!

Very easy to install in my 2000 Pathfinder. The hardest part was carefully removing the side panels to expose the area where the T connectors went.
Everything fit perfectly and works great.
