Build a Demco Base Plate Package

To attach a Demco tow bar to your vehicle, you will need a base plate.

Demco believes baseplates should be accessible, but not visible. Demco baseplates are designed specifically to respect the beauty and design of your vehicle. On most vehicles, they won't protrude out, hang below or rise above your bumper or grill. Demco Baseplates bolt permanently to the chassis of the towed vehicle and provide a secure, reliable attachment point for all Demco tow bars. Adapter kits are available separately to make Demco baseplates compatible with Blue Ox or Roadmaster tow bar systems. Demco baseplates are easy hook-up and disconnect.

Demco Baseplate are designed specifically for each vehicle. This ensures that installation is easy and the towing performance matches the needs of your vehicle. Each design is tested using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure that the baseplate design meets critical safety and performance specifications.

  • Bolts permanently to the chassis of the towed vehicle and provides a secure, reliable attachment point for all Demco Tow Bars.
  • Hook-up to a Demco baseplate is easy. Two attaching pins with quick pins and two coiled safety cables with safety hook retainers.
  • Includes installation hardware and detailed installation instructions for the do-it-yourselfer, your mechanic, or your body shop.

Step 1: Choose Your Baseplate

This baseplate is designed specifically for your vehicle and includes all installation hardware and instructions.

Step 2: Choose Your Tow Bar

Choose the tow bar that fits your needs and your budget. Each tow bar has unique performance features to consider beyond weight capacities. Safety cables are always included in our Demco tow bar packages at no additional cost. To ensure safe towing, verify that the weight of your vehicle is under the maximum rating of the tow bar you select.

Step 3: Choose Your Accessories

Your accessory kit includes the taillight wiring, electrical cable, a tow bar cover, and three keyed-alike locks. All kits come with the 7-way RV connector to 6-way round cable that is standard to most RV plugs. If your RV does not have the 7-pin RV blade style connector, contact us and we can substitute a different cable.

Step 4: Choose Your Braking System
