What a great idea! I cut the power cable to the winch in the middle and installed a quick-release plug. I also bought a winch mount that slides into the receiver Now the winch goes into the toolbox out of the weather but it's still ready to go whenever I need it. Retains the original tow hooks which will double as an anchor for two-parting the winch line to double the pulling power. I don't see any loss of ground clearance, the transmission shield sets just as low. I did need to also purchase a 6" hitch extension or the winch hit the bumper. The price is right, I'm a welder and I couldn't build one this nice for that price.

If you need a hitch for any reason at all, this is the one to get! It was delivered so fast I wasn’t expecting it at all. It went on in minutes. It actually took longer to get coffee than it did to put this hitch on. It looks great and works like it a champ. Hitchsource.com is the place go. I will buy all of my supplies from them and only them.

Looks to be a well-made hitch. Four bolts lends to a fairly easy installation but reattaching the tow hook along with the heavy hitch is a bit of a tussle.

The receiver is well behind the bumper and at least a 6 inch extension is necessary to get it to clear the bumper for use. I bought an 8 inch extension.

The skid plate does not need to be removed but if it ever is to change the oil filter then the hitch will have to be taken off to access the front screws that hold on the skid plate. Mine plate was taken off and left off.

Front ground clearance is about 4 inches less. That was expected.

Very well engineered and finished. It fit my 07' Tundra perfectly. 5 Stars.
