The brackets were as ordered. I had a body shop install them. I think that is the way to go. It was much cheaper and there was no concern about doing damage to my new Esacape.

The bracket kit for the Ford Escape arrived quickly and complete. Instructions were clear, with pictures that helped immensely.
One note, please advise users to insure a half-inch power drill with 1/2 inch drill bit at least 8-10" long to install the last horizontal bolt.

The "kit" arrived on schedule and was adequately packaged. The installation instructions were pretty straight forward, but it was a big job. It took me about 12 hours, but I was missing a few tools that slowed the project (I didn't have a 1/2" drill bit, so had to use a 7/16" bit and then manually enlarge the four holes). I think the instructions (which has numbered steps and reference photos) were written for the 2010 (or earlier) model, so there were a few differences for my 2011 model. But I saved some bucks over a Camping World installation - about $575. Good words for dealing with HitchSource - a good price and good service.
