This is an excellent quality product. It took a little longer to install than expected because the four metal chasis blocks through which the bolts pass, were too wide to fit through the holes in the chasis. It only took a couple of minutes with a file to lengthen the hole enough for the blocks to pass and after that it was smooth as silk. I really appreciated the wire bolt lead that was included in the package, that easily made up for the filing I had to do.

Had it not been for the filing, installation would have taken only about 20 minutes. The hitch fit perfectly, looks great (if that's possible for a trailer hitch tucked away under the rear end) and most importantly, works just fine.

I am impressed and quite satisified.

The hitch was easy to install I just had to enlarge the rear holes a 1/4" in order to fit the bolt spacers in and instead of using the front two hole as illustrated. I had to use the rear two in order to reach the flange that needed to be drilled for the 3/8" support bolts. With these adjustments to the instructions it was a 30 min job with just a few hand tools and a drill.

My hitch was deilvered in 2 days and installation was "a piece of cake". I'm very pleased.

This hitch installed relatively easily on my Rendezvous. However, I did have to grind down the plates that feed into the chassis in order to fit throught the slots in the chassis. Big plus having the fish wire included.
All and all well worth the price.

The instructions were not clear as to how to insert the mounting brackets. I ended up removing the bumper on my 01 Buick Rendezvous. This provided easy access to insert the mounting bracket and more space to get under the car. After I was all done it I was pretty happy but it took a lot more time than the 30 min installation time.

Installing this hitch on my '05 Buick Rendezvous was very simple, once I understood what needed to be done. The instructions were not very helpful, just had to use common sense. Using a large hammer (seriously!), I pounded the mounting brackets up through the slotted holes in the frame, then inserted the bolts into the holes of those mounting plates. Then, using some finger dexterity, you have to flip the plates/bolts so that the threads are facing toward the ground and are ready to receive the hitch. Next, you have to lift the hitch into place, all while NOT pushing the bolts up into the frame rails. My wife and son came in real handy for this step. Nothing like a family project, right? :) Once I had those 4 bolts started, I marked where the two holes needed to be drilled. I drilled them and inserted the proper nuts, washers, and bolts. I tightened the rear bolts first, then the remaining four. Job complete.

The hitch looks good, and appears to be VERY strong. The only reason I ranked it a '4' instead of a '5' was because some of the powder coat flaked off as I was removing a sticker. I'm not about to go through the hassle of uninstalling it and returning it. I'll just have to spray that section with Rustoleum now. Other than that, I am VERY satisfied.
