Nice product ,well made,looks great, took only about 10 minutes to install. On my 2003 Wrangler the fish hole was the same one that was used for the mounting hole. Used a floor jack to lift it in place.

Shipment of product was very quick. The hitch was incredibly easy to install on my Jeep Wrangler and looks great! At my local truck shop this hitch is $150 before installation.

Very easy install on our 2004 Wrangler. The Curt hitches have easily replaced the competitors as our favorite hitches. Easy, high quality and capable! (We have owned hidden, reese and drawtite in the past).

Installation was straightforward. We had to trim the head of the carriage bolts ever so slightly to fit through the access hole in the frame. Just nibbled a little off each side (like 9 oclock and 3 oclock position, maybe 32nd or so of an inch) and they popped right through the channel.

Installation is very easy on the Jeep Wrangler and it looks like a factory hitch when installed.

The hitch was a breeze to put on with no complications. Shipping was quick and FREE. Recommend buying the trailer harness from Hitchsource which I did not. Spent more time trying to locate the right wiring than I did bolting the hitch on.

Everything bolted in perfect, all parts fit nicely. The bolts that need to go through the hole in the frame and snaked to the opening will need to be grinded some on two sides. This aids with them slipping into the holes easier. Mine were a tad bit to big to fit all the way through the hole. Taking them to the grinder and shaving a bit off each side-let them slip right on through.

I bought the hitch , wiring harness, tube cover W electrical holder, and the entire package for my Jeep Wrangler. The shipping was very fast, the products were better than expected and the price was more than fair. If I ever need another trailer hitch it will be from your company.
I’d give you 5 stars.

Good product; Instructions are somewhat vague on installing the bolts that suspend from the frame. There is no access hole on a 2001 model. I found it much simpler to thread the bolt onto the pull wire and then feed everything through the mounting hole, backwards. Once the washer is in, just pull the bolt back through. A small piece of gummy tape (butyl tape) will help hold everything in place while you install the receiver.

I would recommend using a shim on the angled mount, as it does not fit snugly against the frame. Without the shim, all the pressure is on the bolt.

I used the factory bumper mounting bolts instead of the supplied bolts. They are rated higher and provide a better fit.

Using a floor jack, it took approximately 15 minutes to install. The floor jack makes it much easier to hold the receiver in place when trying to align the mounting bolts, and reduces risk of injury. If you don't have a floor jack, jack stands will aid in installation.

Great delivery time, an so far so good on the hitch! Very happy with it! Installation was a little harder then I had hoped because my carriage bolts were frozen. If you have this problem I went to a Midas and they got them off for free, using an air wrench. Best of luck!

The hitch and the wire harness both worked very well on my Jeep Wrangler. I was impressed with the specially made helical wire tool provided with the hitch kit which enabled an easy installation of the bolts and nut plates in a blind area of the Jeep's frame. The biggest problem I had was simply getting two of the old rusted bolts out of the frame. The new hitch fit perfectly and the wire harness also worked flawlessly the first time.

I was also impressed with the delivery that had both parts arriving at my door only 2 days after the order was placed and for around $17.

Thanks very much. I will use Hitchsource again in the future when I need another hitch.

I just pulled 1660 lbs from Ft. Jackson (Columbia) SC to Ft. Riley (Junction City/ Manhattan) KS with it. No problems.

Make sure you pay attention to which bolts are supose to be torqued to which ft lbs, cuase I snapped one, but I got it with an easy out so not that big of a deal. It wasn't easy to replace though, I had to order one from Fastenall. That took two days. Other than that it was to easy.

I'm very satisfied with this product.

I installed the hitch on a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport (TJ). The instruction do not cover an issue in my installation.

My Jeep has an elongated access hole in the bottom of the frame directly in front of the forward hitch bolt hole. (The forward hitch bolt hole is the same one where the rear recovery hook was attached). The hitch's pre-drilled forward bolt holes line up with the access holes, not the forward hitch bolt holes. The square hole spacers are long enough to bridge the access hole, so I installed the forward bolts in the access holes.

I also had trouble starting on of the new bolts in the rear threaded bolt holes. The original bolts have a short starting shank before the treads start. The new bolts do not have a starter shank.

The hitch quality is excellent and installation was easy, even with the issues noted herein.

This is a sharp looking hitch, and as easy to install as promised.
The only tip I can offer for some Jeep owners is have one of the following handy for removing factory bolts to mount the hitch:
1. a 23/32 wrench or socket;
2. an 18mm wrench or socket;
3. an adjustable wrench (10 or 12 inch will do nicely.) this is what I used to remove the bolts, as I had neither #1 or #2 :)

Installation is a breeze after that, and kudos to Curt Mfg. for including the fish line. It's a lifesaver!

My father used to sell RV's when I was a kid, and I had the pleasure of my 13 year old son helping my with this install, his first work on an auto ever. Now he looks forward to Installing the hitch on Grandma's F-150, and with the choice of a hitch from Curt Mfg. and HitchSource.com, I foresee another enjoyable experience as well as another success story.

This was easy to put on took about 15 min. I didn't know that the wire went around the bolt to pull it into the hole or would of been quicker Thanks Charles

Totally easy to install with a few tools. It took me 30 minutes to install the hitch on my 02 Jeep Wrangler. The fish wire is a great idea for locating the plate and bolt use on two of the four bolts that complete the install. I would suggest that installers loosen the four bolts that hold the bumper to the frame to facilitate aligning the bolt to welded nut on the bottom of the frame.
Thanks for a great product....by the way the finish is very nice.

Easier than advertised to install. The tool to fish the bolt through frame is really great! It took longer to setup the tools than it did to install the hitch.

Excellent quality hitch, and remarkably easy to install yourself. Mine took me a little longer than expected, because getting the existing bolts out was a PITA... REALLY stiff. I had a wrench hanging on the end of my socket driver to provide extra leverage, and even then could only manage 1/8 turns with great effort.

Anyhoo, all the bolt holes in the hitch lined up perfectly with the chassis holes, so there really was no drilling required. Good job Curt Mfg!

This is a nice hitch. The install on my 06 Wrangler was different than the diagram that came with the hitch, but it was easy to figurer out. Grate Price. Grate Hitch.

I bought this hitch for my wife's 97 jeep wrangler. I ordered it and it arrived within in the estimated delivery schedule. I was very pleased with the quality and ease of putting the hitch on the jeep. It had all the hardware and was fairly easy to install. I would recommend this company and this hitch to anyone looking for a good deal.
