Bought this hitch for my '05 Honda Pilot. Super fast shipping and quality product. Installation is easy, but if you have an older vehicle like mine,do yourself a huge favor and get 2 taps ( 12mm X 1.25 for the three bolts on either side and 10mm X 1.25 behind the license plate) to clean out the rust where the new bolts will go.(Borrowed mine from my friendly mechanic at my Honda
dealership...make sure you tip him). This added step will make the installation a breeze. Use a little WD40 on the tap as you run it in and out until it clears out the rust and test the new bolt to make sure it threads easily before lifting the hitch over your head and finding out it the bolt won't thread completely through. Lower and remove spare...gives you much more room to work. I did not have to lower muffler on mine, hitch fit right in place with muffler on. Did have to slightly bend heat shield on muffler. Before installing hitch I took a little time to wire brush frame behind license plate and any other areas now exposed that would be covered by new hitch and used rust inhibiting black spray paint to slow down any new rust. Great product..wiring harness hooked right up..no problem.5 stars

Very happy with the hitch. My hitch arrived the very next day after placing my order. Installation was easy as touted although I would very much recommend a tap to clear the bolt holes, if your vehicle has seen any winter driving, to clear rust and corrosion. I read that in another review here so had it on hand and it saved a lot of time. I did not purchase the wiring harness yet but wondered how easy installation is of the universal wiring harness offered for my Pilot

Overall very nice hitch. Installation is not quite as easy as the instructions describe. It takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish. In addition to removing the spare tire, and the rear exhaust supports, you must also remove the metal brackets directly behind and to either side of the spare tire. Support the exhaust system just under the differential, and drop it about 4-6 inches. The hitch will then slide it with a bit of work. The metal brackets you removed will not go back in, but are not needed anymore to support the plastic trim that won't go back either. Finishd job came out real nice. Glenn

Great product! I installed it on a 2006 Honda Pilot. The hitch got here in (MA) two days and took me about 45 min to install and do the wiring adapter. Make sure to take the spare out and lower the back end of exaust by undoing the rubber holder first.
The only problem I had was with the bolts holes on the Honda that were exposed to the elements for a few years prior to use. Had nothing to do with the product from Hitchsource I used plenty of WD40 and cleaned out the threads before instalation. Spray, thread a little in then out, and then spray, keep doing this until the bolts go in smoothly. I broke one nut off inside the frame and had to buy a nut and snake it in with a coat hanger homemade adapter.
Works great! Easy to do with a socket set, WD40, and tork wrench.

The product is excellent. Beware when installing the hitch. Make sure you can thread the screws on the non tow hook side before installation. Be sure to loosely tighten down all sides of the hitch for hole lineup.
