It was a pain to install. I have installed 20 or more hitchs and wiring and this was the hardest and longest install.

This is an excellent product and is no different than the one is installed by Honda, it fits like OEM and was easy to install thanks to the excellent printed instructions with vivid color photography. I'm pretty sure that Honda gets this hitch from the same supplier and put their own label in it. This one is made by Curt and the finish and workmanship is excellent. I ordered with the additional T connector wire harness which is a must. This is a easy to install once you loose the fear of pulling the inner liner in the back of the vehicle, again the instruction makes it very easy. The total cost is a fraction of what the dealer will charge you for parts and labor, even if you are not handy with doing a job like this one, I would ordered with the wire harness and take it to your favorite mechanic and you may still save money.

Easy to install, took about 2 hours total, but that is because I work slow. Hardest part is getting all the OEM hardware back in place for the underskirt. Hitch itself was a cinch.

The hitch arrived quickly - withn about 3 days. It was shipped the day after order was placed. Everything arrived as expected. The installation of the hitch was the easiest I have ever done. The Honda CR-V was new, so there was no dirt or corrosion in the bolt holes. Everything lined up and installed within 30 minutes. The wiring harness made tapping into the lights a breeze. The interior panels were a bit difficult to reinstall correctly, because I had never done this before. There was no cutting into the wiring system - just plug and play. One small hole had to be drilled and a self tapping screw installed for the ground wire. I really like the idea of leaving the wiring harness inside the vehicle when not in use - prevent corrosion.

Great product and I cheated on the installation and just measured and cut out the opening on the splash pan, without removing it. 15 minutes is all it took to install it..VERY good quality and what a great deal..
