the front mounted hitch was easy to install even with my bull bar on. the only thing questionable about this is, why dont they lengthen the reciever about 4-6".It is under my bumper too far but it will still serv my purpose.

On my 2004 Avalanche 2500 8.1L 4x4 the back set of holes needed to be drilled as they were not present on this model. Some drilling is required w/ minimum of 1/2 inch hole.
