Instructions aren't that great that are included. The Honda CRV has a factory connector ready for wiring, this design isn't a "T" connection, it's a direct plug in to a factory end that has nothing plugged into it.

To install the adapter you need to get the drivers side rear panel out about 1/2 the way towards the front, far enough to be able to reach in behind to plug in the connector to factory end that is empty. To remove the round fasteners simply push the middle section pin down, then the entire clip can be lifted out. (You have to "reset" these clips by releasing the catches on the bottom side and letting the center pin come up to reuse) Once the clips are removed pop open the cover that is behind the drivers side rear seat with a small flat blade screwdriver and remove the 10MM bolt from there. The back section of the panel is a bit of work to remove, but the panel just pulls away towards the center of the truck, the back section by the rear hatch is the hardest to work with. The connector you're looking for has blue tape on it and is located about the center of the rounded hump for the tire, simply plug in the connector and run the module back, tie wrap it to the rear lights harness so it can't rattle around, run the 4 pin trailer connector into the spare tire well at the rear cross trim piece (there's clearance for it there) and pull out when required and put back in with the spare for storage.
