For my 2016 Chevy Colorado Z71 Crew Cab Short Box I bought the Blue Ox Acclaim package and got what I believe is the best deal after searching the web and local vendors. I then had a question regarding supplemental brakes and received a call before normal business hours the following morning which led to an additional purchase of the SMI Duo brake system. I received excellent service and response and delivery was prompt with everything packaged very well. Installation instructions were spot on with the exception of the bumper modifications. I was able to remove about 3/16" of metal on the outside edge of the bumper brace on both sides with a cutoff wheel and install the bumper. No need to cut off the braces.
Everything fits great and is well hidden in the facia.

Received the base plate and all instructions and mounting hardware in 3 days. HitchSource provided everything I needed to complete the job on my 2015 Chevy Colorado to flat tow behind out motor home.
Great prices and service. I rate them as Excellent. Will use them again.

This is the third baseplate I have installed and the hardest, only because you have to remove and trim so much stuff. The actual installation didn't take long once all that was done. It fit good and looks good.
The shipping time was great. Very happy!

Very good product. I installed the base plate on a new truck I purchased while on vacation in Florida and did the installation in the campground with the tools I carry with me, so it is not a difficult installation. On the 2016 GMC Canyon the instructions say to pull up on the base plate before tightening the bolts, if you do this the part of the base plate that holds the removable pins will hit the grill. I suggest you place the grill on the truck to center the pin holders in the grill before tightening the bolts. I only had to cut off one end of the bumper in order to get it to fit.

Installation of the Blue Ox #1721 baseplate on the 2015 Chevy Colorado was quite easy. Cutting the metal brackets from the original bumper, as shown in the instructions, is not necessary. One should try putting the bumper on first...it fits.
This recommendation was passed on to the people at Blue Ox.
