Easy install, I removed the bumper (6 bolts), by doing so it opened up the front of the truck so everything was much more accessible. If you are laying on your garage floor installing the mounts removing the bumper is the way.

The Hitch Source was an excellent choice for me to obtain my Blue Ox base plate. They were prompt in their delivery and knowledgeable about the product. Blue Ox needs to modify their instructions in the following manner; instead of drilling an 1-1/4" diameter hole to insert the nuts into the frame rail, simply remove 6 bolts that hold the bumper in place and expose the inner frame rail from the front. Then the nuts can be threaded on easily, and drilling a large hole in the back of the frame extension was not on my wish list!

Hitch Source was great to work with, they didn't have my base plate in stock but worked with me so that I would have it in time to install myself before we left on our trip. They even bumped up the shipping without any more cost to me. They also have the best price on the internet.
