I purchased this item only to find that my Rendezvous was pre-wired for trailer lights. I needed the much less expensive version that doesn't require accessing the vehicle tail lights for installation. Unfortunately, that version didn's show up on the HitchSource website as an option for my hitch; I'm not sure why.

Regardless, by doing a little research on the web, I was able to figure out the wiring scheme and after a little cutting and splicing was able to consolidate all the wires into the one necessary adapter and I was good to go. It would have been nice to have a wiring diagram on the HitchSource website to facilitate this kind of modification. Given the right adapter, this installation would have taken less than two minutes. This took longer, but it did provide all the necessary parts.
