Honda didn't make it easy. But I brought wiring harness under the threshold(cut a notch out) and into the cabin. Bought an extension which I hang right out through the door. If the extension ever gets damaged, I replace it and don't have to re-enter the quarter panel.

The instructions were excellent and led me right to the connector I needed to find. Honda was nice enough to leave an open connector to attach this to. The wiring harness has a built in circuit protector so that you don't blow your lighting fuse if the trailer lights short out. Nice feature.

Pretty easy to install. The clips that hold the body panels on seem a little looser when you re-attatch them. You might want to replace them as you go.

Good product and easy install, just make sure you read the other reviews. They really helped me out. All you have to do is pop the rear threshold out and the factory harness is there to the left behind the inner molding and the Curt Mfg plug goes right into it. Then there are 2 plugs you have to remove to feed the harness though, slit the plugs and reinstall them. I put a bracket on with a 7 round plug that I bought locally but later found it cheaper on Hitchsource (the bracket and 7 round to 4 flat). Be ready to install it because once you place your order the product will show up within a few days. Good luck and I would definitely recommend using this product.

Perfect fit and it worked the minute I plugged the trailer in.

Two issues:
1. You might want to consider going to a dealership and have them show you how to remove the side panel to access the wiring harness plug.

The instructions are vague, at best, and you're likely to damage one or more of the plastic panel inserts that snap into the body holes.

2. The 4-pin flat plug at the end of the harness did not fit through the hole in the trunk. With some difficulty I had to enlarge the hole so the plug could be fed outside the vehicle to the hitch.

Overall, I was quite impressed with the quality of the harness; and, other than the hole problem, was happy that there were no major snags.

Note: In my opinion, this is not an easy project. Take your time, especially if you decide to remove the body panels yourself.
