Martin Doettling - 06/11/2009 Rating: Bought the Dura bike rack - all in all probably the best, most versatile product you can find. It is sturdy, albeit bit on the heavy side, and works well - it replaces an older rack that has outlived its use. Company was very responsive when I needed a part replaced that was damaged during shipping. Highly recommended.

Jerry Klein - 06/19/2008 Rating: I am very happy with the Softride hitch rack. It was easy to put together and easy to use. What I like about it is it is easy for my wife to load bikes on. It is really sturdy and the bikes ride on the rack really good and they do not move around. I also like the locking pin on the hitch and also the way I can lock up the bikes and not have to worry about them being stolen.
When I recieved the Softride, there were parts in the box that were broke during shipping. I called HitchSource and they shipped to me new parts right away. HitchSource is a very dependable company, with fast and friendly service. The Softride Hitch Rack is a very good product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality hitch rack at a reasonable

John McCune - 06/07/2008 Rating: Smooth business transaction from hitchsource.com. The Softride product is well made and fairly simple to install. The directions/instructions were lacking some detail which made for a do over on a couple of steps.
Thank You.

Joseph Klein - 06/06/2008 Rating: This is a great rack for long trips, but probably more rack than I need.
The good: The rack is rock solid, with no wobble, and holds four bikes snugly. The swing-down feature lowers the bikes nicely to get them on and off and allows me to open the rear hatch. It also looks pretty good. I would be very comfortable using this on a long road trip.
The bad: The anti-wobble pin has to be screwed in and out with a 3/4" wrench (not included) to add or remove the hitch, which makes putting it in for a 20 minute ride to the park a pain. (I may try replacing the anti-wobble pin with a regular pin to see if it makes installation and removal easier). Some frame types require a bike adapter bar.
All in all, I am glad I have this rack,... Read More

Daniel Fields - 01/08/2008 Rating: This rack incorporates a lot of good ideas. The way it lowers so you can open your trunk/hatch is really nice. We recently used it on a 10 hour drive with 3 bikes and had no real issues. It is worth noting that we have full suspension mountain bikes... our bigger bike fits on the rack fine but the smaller bike (my wife is about 5'6") does not fit well b/c the rear shock gets in the way. We still have to use bungee's to secure it... nonetheless I'm happy with the purchase.

Ellen Lorish - 10/05/2007 Rating: I bought this rack because I had had experience with an older version. This one is much improved! The straps are easy to snap in place; not so the old one. And the anti-sway is another slick improvement. In short, I'm delighted!--Ellen Lorish Lewisburg, WV

Scott Searcy - 08/26/2007 Rating: While I have not owned any hitch mounted racks before, I am very happy with this rack. We used it almost immediately to take four bikes on a family vacation. It is really easily to lower and raise the rack even with four bikes on it. The only issue that I have with the rack is that the lettering is stick-on and came off before I even had a chance to get the rack on the car.
