Worked great and was an easy home install on my 2001 Ford Ranger XL. Initially looking at the HUGE baseplates, They do not look like the ones in the picture on this page. I was uncertain that they would be an easy fit. But, as usual, Roadmaster has done a great engineering job and they fit fine. This is my 5th install of different baseplates on my personal vehicles over the years.

I would, however, recommend that you remove the lower plastic fascia for the install of the plates. Makes it a LOT easier to see what you are doing. After the baseplates were installed, it was easy to partially reinstall the fascia and make a hole on each side (one at a time) and carve them out patiently so they are as small as possible when you are finished.
