This was a simple installation. All that I needed was a 19mm socket. The hitch fits exactly right on my Toyota Tacoma and looks great. Wish I'd bought it years ago.

This converter was just the right fix for my 2009 Prius wiring. Now I can pull my light weight trailer with all the legal lights. On thing I should mention is the actual wiring hookups:
Yes the yellow wire connects to the yellow wire and the brown goes to the brown etc. just like the instructions say. however when it comes to the red wire on the converter, it does not go to the red wire on the Prius, it goes to the blue wire.. yeah, I know, that sounds all wrong, but thats the way it works. Just make sure you have a test light probe and you will be okay.

The directions that came with the hitch were useful, but I went on-line to the OEM (Curt) to get his version that were similar but had a couple of extra hints.
The fitup was tight and resulted in the whole job taking 2 hours, rather than the 0.5 to 1.5 hours in the instructions.
Found the hitch to be of very good quality, and works just fine.

Can you call a hitch beautiful? This one is. Heavy duty construction, but with careful welds and rounded corners, all powder-coated with a gloss black finish. As others state, the holes lined up perfectly (2003 CR-V), installation was straightforward, fishwire worked great (straighten, then bend the last 2" to form a 90° 'L' with the coil on the long leg of the 'L'. Now, holding the coil end, fish the 2" short leg of the 'L' through big hole in the frame until it comes out the smaller target hole. Now, holding the 2" end, thread the washer and then the bolt on the coil end, and pull through the frame and out the target hole. For the big hole, thread the bolt and washer onto the wire, stuff them up into the hole and then pull them back down). Get the torque wrench in there before hanging the muffler back up (which it did without alteration).
