The 2011 GMC installation instructions have you start on the rear passenger side where the exhaust pipe make installation harder, at least on the diesel. I would suggest you start on the driver side which is easier and makes the process faster. There are extra holes in the bracket that are not used in this application and it would be nice if you were advised of this so you don't try to use the wrong holes.
