Excellent quality hitch with a perfect fit. At least on my 2001 Grand Cherokee the shims were not necessary since there was a bumper skin brace that leveled things out nicely.

I would suggest installing the trailer wiring first due to the wrap under design of the rear bumper.

I got the 10 amp powered converter, and it fit right into the pocket below the driver side tail light. The green wire to the passenger side turn signal could have been 2 feet longer, but was very easily managed with a butt splice and extra wire.
