Clinton Smith - 06/17/2010 Rating: Excellent product. Installed easily. Instructions right on but would add following. Detach muffler from 3 points - 2 at rear of muffler and 1 in front by slipping the rubber holders off their connect points on the car and move muffler down enough to get to bolt entry points. Use a little soapy water to help the rubbers to slip and use method explained in instructions to get them off. I had to bend the rear rubber holder probes on the vehicle down slightly to prevent the muffler from rattling against the bolts after they were installed. I used a socket wrench and slipped it over the holder prob and bent them down approx 1/4 in.
| Justin Caron - 06/05/2010 Rating: Great hitch! Install was as described. Very easy with the provided "fish wire." Ordering was simple and shipping took only two days. (ordered monday evening, received on wednesday) Would highly recommend using HitchSource.com to anyone I know looking for trailer and towing needs. Thanks!
| Kevin Kuwada - 06/05/2010 Rating: The complete purchase process was great. Placing the order was simple, easy, and the hitch shipped very fast.
Total time to install: 1 hour. On a Honda CRV 2005.
Hints: Start on the drivers side first, installing the bolts w/ the wire tool, then, move on to the passenger side. This will make think allot easier. Also, make sure your "U" screw fits into the Hitch. My "U" did not being to wide, but, it was an easy fix. I placed a rug underneath the "U", on a "C" direction on the ground, then, covered the top w/ a towel, then, softly, hit the end w/ a mallet. I did this three times. After each hit, I would see how much more I needed to go, took three hits before it fit perfect. That was the only minor problem I encountered. This is a... Read More
| Clifford Smith - 09/30/2009 Rating: Everything went together as instructed. I had no problem with anything, including the wiring harness.
Thank you.
| Douglas Gauck - 09/27/2009 Rating: Can you call a hitch beautiful? This one is. Heavy duty construction, but with careful welds and rounded corners, all powder-coated with a gloss black finish. As others state, the holes lined up perfectly (2003 CR-V), installation was straightforward, fishwire worked great (straighten, then bend the last 2" to form a 90° 'L' with the coil on the long leg of the 'L'. Now, holding the coil end, fish the 2" short leg of the 'L' through big hole in the frame until it comes out the smaller target hole. Now, holding the 2" end, thread the washer and then the bolt on the coil end, and pull through the frame and out the target hole. For the big hole, thread the bolt and washer onto the wire, stuff them up into the hole and then pull them back... Read More
| Robert Holcomb - 09/27/2009 Rating: Correct part , Great price , Lightning fast shipping. The hitch fit my Honda CR-V like a glove.
| Timothy Miller - 08/19/2009 Rating: Excellent product. Installed easily. Attach u-bolt to CRV hook before trying to start nuts on bolts. It holds hitch in place nicely.
| Clorinda Smith - 08/18/2009 Rating: Thanks - we paid to have this hitch installed by our mechanic (lowering the exhaust system is beyond our capabilities). But, the install only cost $84 so that was worth it. Looks nice. Since it was installed only yesterday I haven't had a chance to really try it out yet. The mechanic said it was a very good hitch.
| John Brach - 08/02/2009 Rating: This hitch fit perfectly on my 2003 CRV and was easy to install. Looks like a quality product.
| Rick Mellinger - 07/25/2009 Rating: Hitch was a breeze to install, following the directions, and was about a 40 minute job... The wiring harness I purchased with the hitch took significantly longer!
