2007-2011 DODGE Nitro Installation Time: 3 Hours Notes: --Bumper fascia must be removed and replaced during installation. --Requires some drilling (not major). --Use only with motorhome mount tow bars or the BX8833 or BX88151 adapters. Removable tabs with only one hole will not attach to car mount tow bars or other adapters. The Acclaim may only be used with removable tab baseplates that have 22" or greater spaced tabs. Neil Pollack - 10/19/2011 Rating: HitchSource was reliable, provided good information and was fast. We ordered this plus the Blue Ox for two cars/RV's. The baseplate instructions are not explicit enough. You'll have to pull out the side panels to remove the front clips of the fender cover (I suggest you purchase 4 new plastic clips per side panel directly from Dodge before you start the job @ $2 each!) and you'll find the need to cut a bit move of the black grill but it's all fine and we're glad we undertook this project.
Leland Hulbert - 08/10/2011 Rating: The BX1976 was purchased for a 2011 Jeep Liberty Sport that was manufactured in June 2011, unfortunately the Sport model now has the Renegade front end. This prevented me from using this base plate as too much of front bumper fascia would have needed to be cut to install it. Hitchsource worked with me to get a new base plate for the Renegade front end BC1131 in a timely manner. This unit worked fine and looks good on my new Jeep.
I have used Blue Ox products for the last 15 years and recommend them highly.
