WIRE TRAILER HARNESS:
2010 Subaru Outback.
Carefully remove the syrofoam panels of the trunk, above the spare tire. The snap connectors are delicate.
Carefully reach up under the edge of the driver side 'felt' quarter panel lining.
right near the d-ring tie down, you will find a taped t-connector, Subaru installed for trailer lights.
Plug in, and run the wiring into the wheel well. There is a rubber plug, in the front of the wheel well (there are two others too), if you want to run the wires to the outside, hitch, or just leave it in the wheel well until you need to tow, then smash in into the trunk door, and run the wires outside directly.

The most into a factory pre-wired connection, cut a rubber body plug for wire to exit, couple of zip-ties and done. It took longer to get the spare tire out, than to install. Great
