To attach a Dominator, Commander, Excali-Bar II or Kwik Tow Tow bar to your vehicle, you will need a base plate.

Demco believes baseplates should be "...accessible, but not visible." Their baseplates are designed specifically to respect the beauty and design of your vehicle. They won't protrude out, hang below or rise above your bumper or grill. (See photos below)

Bolts permanently to the chassis of the towed vehicle and provides a secure, reliable attachment point for all Demco Tow Bars.
Hook-up to a Demco baseplate is easy. Two attaching pins with quick pins and two coiled safety cables with safety hook retainers.
Available for a wide variety of late model cars, light trucks and sport utility vehicles.

The Kia Soul baseplate was easier than I expected. It was very well designed. The instruction were detailed and accurate. The reason I bought the Kia soul was because the Demco product looked the best. The only triming I had to do was grind off surface protrussions behind the bumper mount and cut the fan shroud with tine snips. The labor standard was 3 hours and I did it in two. The only problem I encounted was I had to tap the bolt holes to the bumper. I should have checked before I mounted the base plate. This took me 15 minutes after I had it mounted. An excellant design job.
